SEO doesn’t have to have to be a complex idea because today I’ll show you this important aspect of your strategy in simple terms. Today you will see what is it, how does works, and how to learn more about this aspect.
As a simple guide, I need to make it as simple as possible, so I will give you examples and I will not use technical words to explain. However, to fully grasp the idea, you need to read until the end.
SEO: What is it in simple terms?
SEO: What is it in simple terms?
SEO in simple terms is a set of strategies that have just one goal in mind: Make more people see your content. You can have a website for several reasons, but if you want to pay for a domain and host, you probably want people to see it, right?
When you finish a blog post on your website the job still needs to be done, you need to use those strategies in your text and information about your content. When you do that, is like talking to Google “Show this blog post to everyone who has an interest in it”.
However, Google, Bing, or Duckduckgo is not a person, so you need to use those strategies in your text for them to understand. Besides, this set of strategies is important to define the best content for all of us that search in those main search engines AKA browsers.
For example, if you search for “Dentist next to me”, Google will show you the best results possible in your city, and usually, you will look for the first option, right? However, if you look more you will see a lot of other options below the first result.
Every single day we have more and more blog posts on Google, and they need to filter the best of the best to show you. 90% of the time, the first option will be the content that follows the SEO criteria by using the strategies.
SEO: How does it work?
As I said above, Google and other browsers find the best results for you by the criteria. The criteria can be huge, so think of the criteria as a bunch of rules (Guidelines) and if your blog content follows a rule, you gain one more point like a game.
The first result on Google will be the content who have the most points because follows the criteria. For example, did you see that in this blog post the word “SEO” keeps repeating? This is the keyword of this content.
The keyword is a word or a phrase that summarizes the content and one of the strategies is using the keyword along all content. Then, everyone who searches for this word on Google can see my content.
As I said, SEO is not just one strategy, you have to use as many strategies as you can in your content to make Google show your blog post. Did you enjoy the content so far? Follow me on Threads for more.
SEO: When will I have viewers on my website?
SEO is a long-term strategy, so you need to make blog posts consistently to have good results. The better answer that I can give you is you will have viewers on your website after you make consistently optimized content over time.
With that in mind, you can’t make 30 blog posts for one month, and then never write again. You can’t make 300 blog posts without optimization, for example, anything like that will work.
Once you make consistently optimized content over time, you will increase the number of viewers, and once you have an audience you can direct those people to many goals. Sell products, monetization by ads, and so on.
